Dr. Ginther joined LGCS in 2016 with extensive experience as an administrator, math teacher, and department chair. She was awarded her Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Management on May 31, 2019. After completing her M.A. in Church and School Administration, Dr. Ginther spent five years as a Vice Principal at another local private school. Born and raised in Morgan Hill, Mrs. Ginther earned her B.S. in Industrial Technology, while minoring in Business Administration. She and her husband have three adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and one grandson.

Registrar and Front Office
Having worked in both school and church settings, Mrs. Ledesma brings a unique set of skills to her role in our front office. She knew from a very young age that she loved Jesus and teaching children. She dedicated her education, training and career to God, and the Lord led her to a local private school, where she had much success teaching preschool for 9 years. At the same time, the Lord called her to become the children's ministry director at her family's church, in San Jose, where she had been serving in the youth ministry for over 14 years. Before coming to LGCS, Mrs. Ledesma has had to keep her two passions and callings separate, teaching preschoolers to read during the week and leading children to Christ on weekends. She is thrilled to finally be able to meld the two at a school that teaches children to love Jesus! Mrs. Ledesma and her husband have two sons. They enjoy spending time together as a family.

Graphic Design & Systems Manager
Miss Manning joined LGCS in the fall of 2014, as an alumni of LGCS, she has brought great enthusiasm, insight and compassion to her role. Miss Manning earned her Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design from West Valley College and is completing her Bachelor's degree in Multi-Media and Graphic Design from Texas A&M. She is an avid sports fan.

Director of Financial Services
Mrs. Teruel serves as the Director of Finance for Los Gatos Christian School. She has three grown children, all of whom attended and graduated from LGCS. She and her husband Frank are very involved in their church where they lead the Financial Peace University class. Mrs. Teruel also manages the LGCS World's Fair, Spelling Bee and Graduation planning every year.

Mrs. Shirley Tung was born in Hong Kong and join LGCS in Fall 2016. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned Electrical & Computer engineering degree in 2003. She continued her education at De anza college for Child Development in 2016.
Mrs. Tung also accomplished Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music. She teaches piano and serves as the pianist at her church (CCIC) . She enjoys running, swimming, skiing, playing piano and spending time with her family.

Preschool & Jr. Kindergarten
Mrs. Dimes has been with Los Gatos Christian School since 2011. She graduated from Bethlehem University in the Middle East with BA in English Language. Later, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Dimes is married and has two children. When not teaching, Mrs. Dimes enjoys reading, hiking, rock climbing and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Forte' has been working with children since 1996. She received her education at West Valley Community College, and always participates in continuing education classes around the bay area. She has a special passion and heart for little children, and is a fourth generation teacher in her family. As a former student of LGCS, and the mother of two children that attended LGCS from JK to 8th grade, she is a huge fan of our school!!
Her hobbies include: art, playing guitar, singing on her church's worship team, and cooking.

Ms. Gamble joined LGCS in 2019 with 10 plus years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She is currently a student at Grand Canyon University where she is working on her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Gamble delights in teaching preschoolers because she enjoys enriching their young minds and helping them to grow and flourish. Her favorite classroom activity is science because it's messy! In her spare time, Ms. Gamble is a full-time soccer mom. On the weekends you can find her on the sidelines cheering her son on.

Director of Preschool
Mrs. Pennington began teaching in 1996. She came to Los Gatos Christian School in 2006. She was born and raised in Silicon Valley, attended LGCS as a child, and earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Pennington married her husband Dan in 1991 and has 5 children and 6 grandchildren. When not teaching, she loves boating, scrap-booking, walking the dog, gardening, shopping, and vacationing.

Mrs. Porter has been an educator since 1988 and joined the Los Gatos Christian School staff in 2004. She was born in southern California and raised in Washington State near Seattle. She studied Performing Arts and Education at Central Washington University. She traveled as a performer and arts educator with a touring theater company until she married in 1996 and began raising her two sons. Mrs. Porter has a passion for God’s amazing creation as well as the written and spoken word. She enjoys igniting these passions in her students through God’s word in the classroom. She also enjoys hand quilting, reading, playing her flute, hanging out with her family (including their pet chinchilla Nacho), camping, gardening, and collecting good recipes.

Mrs. Ramirez first began working at LGCS in 1998. After graduating from Valley Christian High School she studied early childhood education at West Valley College and earned her Preschool Teacher Certification. Mrs. Ramirez enjoys helping young children develop a lifelong love of learning. She has been married since 1998 and has three children ranging from preschool to college age. In her free time, Mrs. Ramirez enjoys caring for her cat and dog, gardening, yoga, hiking, and cooking healthy vegan meals.

Ms. Veyna was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She attended Presentation High School, West Valley College, and is a graduate of San Jose State University with a Bachelors in Child and Adolescent Development. She has over ten years experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. She has worked with children in preschool and middle school, mentored high school students, and coached parents in a non-profit setting.
Ms. Veyna is an advocate for children's rights and their access to high quality programs. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family, working out, ice skating, and hiking.

Mrs. Christie started teaching in 2008. She taught Kindergarten for two years and then took time off to raise her children. She was born and raised in Almaden and is an LGCS and VCHS alumna. Mrs. Christie graduated from San Jose Christian College/William Jessup University and earned her teaching credential at San Jose State University. In 2017, she earned her level 1 certificate in personal nutrition. She married in 2008 and has three young children who attend LGCS. When not teaching, she enjoys running, swimming, camping, coaching her kid's sports team, and hanging out in their backyard pool as a family.

Mrs. Clark has been teaching since 1999 at Los Gatos Christian School. She was born in New York City and came to sunny California in sixth grade. She earned her BA in Speech and Hearing at UC Santa Barbara and her teaching credential from Point Loma College. Mrs. Clark and her husband Chris have four adult children. When not teaching, Mrs. Clark enjoys playing piano, quilting, reading, walking and playing with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Felberg started teaching in 1994. She taught 4 years and then took time off to raise her children. She came back to teaching at Los Gatos Christian School in 2006. She was born and raised in the Silicon Valley and is an LGCS alumni. Mrs. Felberg graduated from Westmont College and earned her teaching credential at Bethany College. She married in 1994 and has two children. When not teaching, Mrs. Felberg enjoys watching her children’s sporting events, shopping, scrap-booking, and photography.

Ms. Hindenes grew up in the world of teaching with both her mother and grandmother working in elementary schools around the Bay Area. She was born and raised in South San Jose, about 10 minutes from LGCS. Ms. Hindenes graduated from Concordia University Irvine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Concentration in Child Development in May 2017. She is also earning her teaching credential at Concordia University Irvine. She has a large close-knit family with 3 older brothers who all live locally. When not teaching, she enjoys hiking, reading, painting, playing with her dog, and going to Disneyland!

Mrs. Hunt joined the teaching staff at LGCS in 2016 as a long-term substitute and joined as a permanent teacher in the fall. She taught previously at another local Christian school and is a graduate of San Jose State University. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Hunt enjoys the outdoors, reading and cooking.

Mrs. Leppi began teaching at LGCS in 2012. She was born and raised in Southern California. Mrs. Leppi has a Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University and Bachelor in Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific, and later received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. Mrs. Leppi and her husband live in Los Gatos and have two adult children. When she's not teaching she enjoys swimming, reading, and hiking with her dog Marley.

Mrs. O'Gorman joined LGCS in the fall of 2017, but has taught in public schools since 2010. Mrs. O'Gorman graduated from Pacific Union College with a Bachelor of Business Administration and earned her teaching credential from San Jose State University. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mrs. O'Gorman had a career as a CPA and finance executive in Silicon Valley. She is married and has three adult children. When not teaching she enjoys running, hiking with her husband, and cooking.

Mrs. Primeau has been teaching since 1980 and joined Los Gatos Christian School in 1997. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; majored in Music and English, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Teaching. The Primeau's were married in 1977 and have 4 sons, 4 daughters-in-law, and 11 precious grandchildren. When not teaching, Mrs. Primeau loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing piano and singing.

Ms. Ninan has been teaching since 2000, and joined LGCS in 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Nebraska. Additionally, she earned her Multiple Subject Credential/CLAD from San Jose State University. She is married and has two amazing daughters that attend LGCS. She likes to collect old antique books and cheer for the Cornhuskers!

Mrs. Sarkis has been teaching since 1984 and has been with Los Gatos Christian School since 2001. She was born and raised in Iran and can speak 4 languages. Mrs. Sarkis has a Masters in English Literature and a BA in Theology. She is married and has two grown children; both of whom attended LGCS. When not teaching, Mrs. Sarkis enjoys reading, nature, crocheting, music, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Stephenson joined LGCS in 2019 but has spent the past few years teaching in Bay Area and the Monterey Peninsula public schools. She was raised in the Monterey Peninsula where her mother was and still is, a teacher in the Carmel Unified School District. Mrs. Stephenson received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Westmont College. Later, she achieved a Master's in Educational Technology from Concordia University Irvine. Integrating technology and projects that develop 21st Century Skills in the classroom is a passion of Mrs. Stephenson. When not teaching, she loves traveling, going on adventures with her husband, drinking coffee, and watching sporting events.

Mrs. Von Raesfeld began teaching at Los Gatos Christian School in 2000. She was born and raised in Los Gatos. She graduated with a California Teaching Credential from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Child Development. She married at Los Gatos Christian Church in 1986 and has two daughters. In her spare time, Mrs. Von Raesfeld loves to study the Bible, serve others and swim at the beach.

Middle School Teacher
Mrs. Adam joined LGCS staff in 2018. Sharon graduated from Cal Poly, SLO with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Since then, over the course of many years, she has worked in the industry, worked as a University Professor in Beijing, China, and worked/stayed at home to raise her 3 boys. She is passionate about teaching math here at LGCS. She believes "God is a God of reason and order and He cares about Math. I love giving the students this perspective"
Sharon, her husband Chuck and her 3 boys enjoy traveling "with a purpose". That is, to travel to encourage those serving God around the world. In this capacity they have visited Pakistan, Kenya, Canada, Mexico, Singapore and China. When Sharon is not teaching, talking about Math or trying to solve engineering problems, she is searching out a new coffee spot, gardening, talking to her 3 chickens, exercising, cooking or experimenting with a new scone recipe.

Mrs. Bernat joined LGCS in the fall of 2018 but has been teaching middle school since 1988, with a long break to raise her three children. She grew up in this area and at Los Gatos Christian Church. After having taught English Language Arts and Social Studies in Saratoga and recently in Los Gatos public schools and at Fusion Academy, she is excited to be part of our school community. Earning an M.A. in Education and Secondary Teaching Credential from Stanford University, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Cal Poly State University, Mrs. Bernat relishes hilly hikes and steaming coffee with friends.

Mr. Healy earned his undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts and Special Education Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. He is currently working on his graduate degree. Prior to joining LGCS in 2015, he served as an Outdoor Education Science Teacher and an Interim Youth Pastor. He enjoys snowboarding, surfing, spearfishing and DIY projects.

Mr. Matheou was born and raised in San Jose. Graduated from San Jose State with a BS History. Currently at Notre Dame de Namur finishing his Single Subject Credential and Master’s in Education. He is also an alumni of Los Gatos Christian School. When he is not teaching he enjoys spending time with his family, staying at his ranch, and exercising.

Mrs. Patterson has been a teacher since 1991. She was born and raised in San Jose, California, and attended Los Gatos Christian School as a student. Mrs. Patterson earned her BA in Elementary Education as well as her teaching credential from Wheaton College. She is married and has a daughter who is a former LGCS student. When not teaching, Mrs. Patterson loves cooking, crafting, and walking on the beach.

Middle School Teacher
Mr. Wilson joined the LGCS staff in 2017. He was born and raised in Minnesota. He moved to California when he was 15 years old and developed a passion for teaching during his senior year of high school, when he student taught fourth grade. Since then, he has worked as a preschool and after-school teacher, as well as a hockey instructor on the east coast. He graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Child and Adolescent Development. He also played hockey for SJSU. During his free time, he enjoys spending time at the ice rink, drinking coffee, and hanging out with friends and family.

Mr. Zvolanek started working for LGCS in 2016 as a substitute teacher, though throughout the last 10 years he has been committed to discipling and teaching children and teenagers through church ministry and community outreach. He was born and raised in Sacramento, received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies through Azusa Pacific University, and a Master of Arts in Ministry and Leadership through Western Seminary. Mr. Zvolanek loves soccer, hip hop, exercising, and traveling!

Director of Technology, ADE
Mrs. Brown has worked in Education for over 20 years in both public and private schools in the Bay Area. She has a BA in Dance from San Jose State University and a Single Subject Credential in Physical Education. Her passion is to reclaim all the Arts for Christ including Dance, Theater, Digital Media, Art, Music, Radio, and Film. Mrs. Brown is married to a wonderful man and she has three fabulous sons. When not at school, Mrs. Brown can be found spending time with family, dancing, biking, hiking or relaxing on their boat.

Mrs. Evans began teaching in 1991 and joined Los Gatos Christian School in 1993. Born and raised in San Jose, Mrs. Evans earned her BA in Art from San Jose State University along with a life-time California State Teaching Credential. Mrs. Evans is married with two adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys producing and selling original artwork, and interior designing. She is also passionate about ministry for single mothers.

Middle School & PE Teacher
Mrs. Holden was born and raised in San Francisco. She married her husband in 1983 and they have 4 adult children. Mrs. Holden graduated from San Jose State University with her BS in Human Performance and a minor in Psychology, as well as her single subject clear teaching credential. She began her career at LGCS in 2000, working as a teachers aide for grades K-6 and assisting with coaching. In 2014 she began teaching Middle School math. Her interests include volleyball, Snoopy, bears, and sports.
Miss Holmes has been teaching elementary school since 1977 and has been an NILD (National Institute of Learning Development) certified therapist since 2000. She has taught at several Christian schools, including a missionary school in Brazil, and has been teaching at LGCS since 1983. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in General Science along with a minor in music and a K–12 teaching credential from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA. Miss Holmes completed a graduate program in Bible at Multnomah University in Portland, OR, and earned a Master’s Degree in Education with a reading specialist credential from Santa Clara University. Miss Holmes loves to read, travel, camp, and backpack. She loves sports, music, and cats; plays piano, guitar, saxophone and accordion.

Ms. Lebherz has been a technology instructor since 2002. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Mountain View, California, where she attended Saint Francis High School. She earned a BA in Journalism from SJSU and Technical Communications certification from De Anza College. Ms. Lebherz has one daughter and two sons, whose interest in robotics spurred her 10-year adventure into the world of First Lego League. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and working with animals, especially training her German Shepard, Sami.

Mrs. Martino joined the LGCS staff in 2014 as an Administrative Associate, but is now serving as the school Librarian. She has four children; one of which currently attend LGCS. Mrs. Martino holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Advertising from Indiana University. When not in the library, she enjoys hiking, gardening and painting.

Director of Music Arts
Mrs. Pimentel grew up in the Bay Area and first fell in love with music through the church. Music ministry has always been a part of her life; a gift she uses to testify. She graduated with honors from La Sierra University in Riverside, CA, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. After two years of teaching she continued her studies, graduating with honors from Teachers College Columbia University in New York, NY, where she completed a Master of Fine Arts in Music Education. She has been teaching since 2010. Mrs. Pimentel's goal is to build academic bridges through music using cross curricular activities.

Athletic Director & PE Teacher
Miss Ruhe started teaching in 1978 and has been at Los Gatos Christian School since 1983. She has a B.A. in Recreation from Whittier College and a California teaching credential from Bethany College. In her spare time, Miss Ruhe enjoys traveling, working in the garden, and watching sports. Miss Ruhe is also responsible for our school sports programs and has served as the President of the Bay Area Christian School Athletic League.

Since 1980, Mrs. Soli has been involved in Christian school education in many capacities including: teacher's aide, classroom teacher, NILD educational therapist, special education program coordinator, an Acting Vice Principal and Accreditation Program Lead. Currently, she teaches Language Arts and Spanish. She was born and raised in San Jose, California, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science as well as her credential at Notre Dame De Namur University. She has been elected twice to the “Who’s Who Amongst American’s Teachers.” Mrs. Soli is married and enjoys gardening and reading in her spare time.
